We have had a number of special programs this summer, among them our annual Friend Day which was held at the Stephens Brook School.  We also had our VBS program and the VBS closing program on a Sunday morning.  Following that was the very special evening with Robert Rogers.  How wonderful it was to see the sanctuary packed out on a Sunday evening.  Then came the second visit of Sue Thomas the deaf former FBI agent.  She has a way of blessing us every time she comes.  We now look forward to another “Friend Day.”   On Sunday October 3, at our 9:00 AM service Ernie Couch and Revival will be ministering to us.

Did you ever feel like you could handle things better than God?  I have.  One day God showed me that he actually does know better than I what He is doing.

On Sunday May 16 we will have the wonderful privilege of having as our special guest speaker for the morning service Sue Thomas the former F.B.I. agent.

As we come into the Easter season we are reminded of our real reason for being as a church.  We are here to be the visible body of our risen and ascended savior Jesus Christ.  Fellowship is, of course, vital to the body life of the church. We need each other and as Jesus prayed in John 17 we need to be united together just as the Father is united to the Son.  Such a call to unity is in itself is a tremendous challenge, but there is so much more.

We learn lessons in many different ways and in many different places, but one of the biggest lessons I've learned recently, I learned while conversing with someone in the church hallway.

These are the observations made when as a young sun parched missionary I saw God perform a transforming miracle in the deserts of Africa.

I have over the years known numerous people who have fallen into temptation.  There are many reasons why this happens, but all too often it occurs because we allow ourselves to stay too long in temptations path justifying it with the “no big deal” excuse.  The fact of the matter is that often what seems like “no big deal” often is.

It is our firm conviction that God has called us as His church to be a place where we can minister and be ministered to. This article discusses how those in need can help those who wish to be of assistance.

I recently made visit to a dear friend who has been at the Bridgton nursing home for a number of years.  Something happened during that visit that made me realize what a difference sometimes a very small thing can make in the lives of those who are there.
